Save money on your energy costs, while also saving the environment. ERTH Bundle the cleaner, greener way to build.
In an atmosphere of increased biosecurity and environmental custodianship, people are doing everything they can to lower their exposure to toxins and reduce their environmental footprint. This can be as simple as using reusable cups, installing a water filter or adding solar panels to your home.
With this in mind, we recently launched our Emissions Reduction Target Home (ERTH) bundle for all homes in our Benchmark range.
ERTH provides up to $20,000 worth of eco extras for $4990, including solar panels, LED lighting, home water filtration and a guaranteed NatHERS six-star energy rating.
The aim of the bundle is to deliver real value by helping people save money on their energy costs, while also saving the environment.
When you move into your new home, you want to know it’s going to work with you, reduce energy costs, keep your family safe and not cost you thousands upon thousands in heating and cooling every year, leaving a massive carbon footprint. The additions we have been able to include for the price are amazing – if you had to go out and add each of these items for retail, you would pay a whole lot more for them. The big-ticket items have a major impact on the efficiency costs of running a home.
The bundle promises to deliver homes which generate their own power and use less energy for heating and cooling, in effect making the home much cheaper to run. The photovoltaic (PV) solar panels included in the bundle would be a big cost-saver to consumers.
We know there’s a potential savings of just more than $22,000 on energy costs over the next 10 years. That is an enormous impact. Heating water is another big hit, chewing up about 30 per cent of your total yearly energy costs.
When you use the heat pump which comes with the ERTH bundle, the cost is reduced by 69 per cent in Perth’s climate zone. The water in your home is also bio-filtered using the Aragon Bio- Filter, which removes nearly 100 per cent of human pathogens like rotavirus and norovirus at the gate, so none of the nasties in the pipes outside make it in to your pipes.
The size of Commodore Homes and the strength and stability of BGC Housing Group means we are in a position to offer value to our customers, reducing their footprint and helping their health and hip pocket.
The BGC Housing Group guarantees a six-star NatHERS energy-rated home to all of our customers, and when you add the ERTH bundle, the impact is exponential in the savings a homeowner can make. Our modelling actually has some of these homes being able to run close to neutral, but it depends on how people are going to use the home.
We have a responsibility to do less damage to the planet. If we can do that in housing our clients, save them some money upfront, and then save them money on the use of the home and do less damage – that’s a pretty good thing.
