Areas for retreat and relaxation are combined with space for recreation and family gatherings in the new Indianapolis display, by Commodore Homes, at Baldivis.
The four-bedroom, two-bathroom home at Settlers Hills’ Townside Estate has a versatile layout with an open-plan kitchen, dining area, family room and computer nook linked to the alfresco are, plus a separate theatre room and bedrooms zoned to allow adults and children plenty of privacy.
Commodore Homes brand manager said the home had been designed to appeal to growing families, with plenty of space for work and play for all family members.
“The Indianapolis has an Idea balance of retreat and recreational zoning, with areas that can be shut off to ensure heating and cooling is practical and economically efficient,” Mr Shue said.
The Indianapolis has a striking contemporary look, with weatherboards below a skillion section of the roof line, and a feature blade wall finished qith travertine-style outdoor wall tiles.
Dark-renered walls, a light Colorbond roof and a sectional garage door complete the facade. A boxed porch shelters the front dorrs, which open to a long and broad entry, with a door from the garage on the left and a compact lobby leading to the main suite, on the right.
The main suite has a spacious sleeping area, with a dressing-table recess below a small square glass panel, in a bozed bay formed by the feature wall of the facade.
A deep walk-in robe is tucked behind a wall and the open ensuite has deep square basins on a four-door vanity unit on a tiled pinth, between an oversized shower with semi-frameless pivoting screen door at one end of the room and separate toilet at the other end.
“A picture window brightens the master bedroom and overlooks a planter box at the front of the home, the robe is large but well concealed, and the well-appointed ensuite is fitted with luzury Laminex benchtops and doors with soft closers and designer handles,” Mr Shue said.
Further along, the threatre room is to the left space for seating opposite a broad recess for the TV. A shallow horizontal window in its side wall provides natural light and ventilation.
A doorway immediately opposite reveals the main living zone, where the family room and dining area frame a corner alfresco area and the kitchen is positioned to overlook there surrounding spaces.
A neat computer nook is tucked into one corner – out of the way, but easily accessed and ideal for parents to supervise children. Glazed doors in the family and dining areas provide a seamless transition between indoor and outdoor living zones.
The kitchen has parallel rows of cabinets, Technika appliances and a two-door walk-in panty. Its main bench has a breakfast bar on its outside edge, and a door near the panty connects to the laundry.
Three good-sized minor bedrooms – each with a two-door walk-in robe – are in a wing at the back of the home, near the main bathroom.
